Design and engineering should never feel like a handoff

Why the concept and the shipped interface need to be shaped as one continuous system.

A handoff assumes the important creative decisions are complete before engineering begins. In digital work, that is rarely true.

Behaviour, content, responsive composition and system constraints all change the meaning of a design. The strongest work keeps those decisions close, with implementation treated as part of the creative process.

That continuity is not about one discipline controlling another. It is about a shared standard: the product that reaches the screen should retain the clarity of the idea that started it.
